Hello and Happy New Year.
2016 continued to be a very busy year for Parkwin Photography and I thought I would share some of the highlights.
The wedding season started in earnest in March and continued until December which it brilliant, as I love weddings! This included Anglican, Jewish, Catholic, Baptist and Civil ceremonies. As always I met some wonderful people and went to fabulous places, from grand manors, barns and beautiful churches to ultra modern venues such as The Shard. Some venues were very well known to me and others new, which is always good as it keeps my photography fresh.
Other family celebrations included, Christenings and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.
Many celebrations take place at the weekend, but that doesn’t mean that the work stops during the week! There is photo editing to do, attending pre-wedding consultations, admin, rehearsals and of course some mid-week weddings amongst other things. I also take portraits. In 2016 this included work for local business women, performing arts students and companies such as Hilton Worldwide. A change of pace and always lovely, baby portraits tend to be quiet, calm and peaceful mornings. I was delighted to see couples again, whose weddings I had photographed and meet the new member of their family.
Being a lover of all things theatrical, I am always very happy to be asked to take front of house and program photos for a local youth theatre group. In 2016 I also helped with props (making animal masks, including six feet high giraffe heads and necks!) and back stage with props, costumes and radio mics!
Many months in 2017 are already booked up and so I am looking forward to another year of great photography.
I hope 2017 is a happy and healthy year for you.
