Winter Wedding at St Michael’s Manor
Winter Wedding at St. Michael’s Manor, St. Albans
When a couple decide to get married in December they are usually prepared for cold and rain and possibly snow, choosing a cosy and warm theme, at an adorable venue with a lovely inside space. So when Nicola and Adam married last December in Abbotts Langley followed by reception at St Michael’s Manor, St Albans the added, unexpected bonus of brilliant sunshine and blue skies brought huge smiles to their faces.
Nicola spent the morning at her parent’s house along with her bridesmaids in the warm Christmas glow with tree and decorations.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous grey dresses with fur muffs in subtle lavender, beautifully made by the bride’s mum. The beautiful flowers again reflected the lavender colour scheme.
The ceremony was conducted by Nicola’s childhood friend in the stunning church of St Lawrence, Abbots Langley filled with candles and berries.
Although pretty cold by the time we all arrived at St Michaels we were able to spend some time out side for photos followed by a warm and cosy reception inside.
The great reveal of the wedding breakfast room brought gasps and wows! It looked stunning. The guests all received mulled wine spices as their favours, again beautifully made by Nicola’s very talented Mum.
The Cassettes provided the music for the evening, creating a great atmosphere and it was even warm enough to pop outside for sparklers. The perfect end to the perfect day.
